Who can check in online and when? What is needed for this?
If the airline supports online check-in for a specific route, most passengers will be able to use this option. There are exceptions, such as passengers with children under the age of 2 or passengers with a group booking.
In most cases, online check-in is open approximately 2 to 24 hours before departure, but there may be significant fluctuations depending on the airline.
Depending on the route, check-in is required:
- name of the passanger
- ticket number
- reservation number or flight number
For some destinations, additional travel document (passport or ID card) information is requested.
